It has been 20 years since Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis), know going by Keri Tate, last battled her deadly brother, Michael Myers (Chris Durand). She is now the headmaster at an elite private school where her son, John Tate (Josh Hartnett), attends. One weekend all the students go away on a field trip. John, his girlfriend Molly Cartwell (Michelle Williams), and two others friends sneak away to remain on the campus grounds all weekend. Laurie also stays behind to spend time with her boyfriend, Will Brennan (Adam Arkin). With the entire campus deserted, Michael begins to pick off the group one by one. In order to save her son, Laurie decides that it is time for a final show down.
