In the late 1960’s and early 1970’s, the United States sent spacecraft into the stars. The Apollo missions took men to the moon, and 12 walked its surface, becoming the only humans to have stepped foot on another world. Crew members from nearly all of these missions presented tales of their daring adventures. Buzz Aldrin and Michael Collins from Apollo 11, Alan Bean from Apollo 12, Jim Lovell from Apollo 8 and Apollo 13, Edgar Mitchell from Apollo 14, David Scott from Apollo 9 and Apollo 15, John Young from Apollo 10 and Apollo 16, Charles Duke from Apollo 11 and Apollo 16, Eugene Cernan from Apollo 10 and Apollo 17, and Harrison Schmitt from Apollo 16 participate in the retelling of their historic missions. Archived footage from the NASA film library gives us insight into a daring era of human bravery and ingenuity.
