"Catch a Fire" takes place in South Africa in the 1980s, when apartheid was going on. Patrick Chamusso (Derek Luke) and his wife (Bonnie Mbuli) are arrested because he is suspected of bombing an oil refinery where he works as a foreman. (Patrick was actually having an affair.) Patrick and his wife are imprisoned and tortured as they are interrogated by Nick Vos (Tim Robbins). After they are released, Patrick becomes a terrorist fighter for real because he wants revenge. He trains in fighter camps, while Vos keeps track of him. Patrick is again captured and imprisoned, not to be released until the end of apartheid.
