Ted Ryker (Michael Keaton) finds his otherwise steady place in a business machine company a bit rocky, due to the anticipation of a new product on the horizon and economic downturn. But when paired up with new-hire Jamie (Brendan Frasier), his interest in life returns after meeting his fiancée Belisa (Amber Valletta). However, this is due mostly to him now wanting the bride-to-be all for his loathsome self.
